The printed circuit board is an intriguing object. In its shapes, its variable geometry and the elements that make it up make it possible to see buildings or cities from the sky. What it symbolizes, a world where technology is king at the expense of human relations, challenges and questions me deeply. Between the form and the symbolic, it is an object that I find very interesting to work on.

"...Érick Derac is part of this line of artists who, from the Dadaists to Fabrice Hyber, not only don't believe in a possible purity of the world, but make impurity a principle of creation. Transparent and colourful, Derac's photographs, in a spirit as joyful as it is subversive, slip between the world and us, altering the smooth image we might have of it."
