Bérénice Saliou is Artistic, Cultural and Scientific Director of the Institute of Islamic Cultures (ICI), a cultural establishment of the City of Paris located in the Goutte d'Or district.
A specialist in contemporary art, particularly from the Muslim world, she co-founded and directed the Trankat artists' residence in the medina of Tetouan (Morocco) from 2010 to 2015.
Particularly attentive to the visibility of non-Western art scenes and to supporting the production of works that are open to the complexity of the world, she has curated numerous exhibitions and off-site projects. She is a member of AICA.
From Africa to Asia, through Europe and the Middle East, the ICI promotes the diversity of Islamic cultures and their dynamism in contemporary creation by proposing contemporary art exhibitions, concerts, conferences, screenings and workshops, as well as an offer dedicated to young audiences.
