Guy Bloch-Champfort studied law in France and the United States before becoming a lawyer in New York. He then served as advisor to the Chairman of the LVMH Group. His journalistic career spanned 10 years, notably for publications such as Connaissance des Arts, AD Italia and Artnet. As coordinator of the Joan Mitchell estate, he played a key role in the management and promotion of the artist's work.
He is also the author of several influential books, including "Les décorateurs des années 60/70", "Les designers des années 80/90" and "Joan Mitchell : témoignages et confidences". He was also artistic advisor for a documentary on Joan Mitchell, produced by Arte and the Fondation Vuitton.
Guy Bloch-Champfort is a member of the Board of Directors of ADIAF, a member of the Purchasing Committee of the Friends of the Centre Pompidou, and Chairman of The Arts Arena.
