Elora Weill-Engerer is a graduate of the École du Louvre, Paris IV and the Sorbonne. She develops her research in the form of a dialogue between historical periods, from the 18th century to the present day, and contributes to several art journals and magazines.
Her research interests include contemporary Gypsy art and new pictorial objects. She is currently preparing a doctoral thesis in art history on the theme of surprise in French painting, under the supervision of Pierre Wat, and is a teacher at Paris I and the Ecole du Louvre.
