Director of Galerie Dilecta, a publishing house and gallery specializing in contemporary art
French, English
Specialities: Drawing, Painting
A lawyer and art trade specialist, Elsa Paradol cut her teeth in the auction world at the historic Hôtel Drouot before introducing the world of contemporary art in 2015. In 2018 she joined the Éditions Dilecta team to develop the activity of the gallery opened in 2015 for almost 3 years before joining the Galerie Max Hetzler team for 1? years. At the beginning of 2022, Dilecta's founder offered her the chance to take over the gallery's management and continue its development.
Founded in Paris in 2005, DILECTA is a publishing house and gallery specializing in contemporary art. It publishes around twenty projects a year, on its own or in partnership with galleries, museums or private foundations. On the one hand, publications (artists' books, exhibition catalogs, monographs); on the other, limited edition works (prints, multiples), series or one-off pieces, which give rise to the organization of exhibitions in its dedicated space. The gallery, opened in 2015, hosts 5 to 6 exhibitions a year, often linked to the publishing house's publications: some are collective, and sometimes at the invitation of curators, reflecting the diversity of artists' projects featured in our catalog and bringing them into dialogue with external loans; others aim to champion the work of artists we feel close to because of their approach, the subjects they tackle, or the medium or support they favor.
Since 2016, the gallery has participated in international fairs such as FIAC (Paris), Art Brussels (Brussels, Belgium), Artissima (Milan, Italy), Art Genève (Geneva, Switzerland), Drawing Now (Paris), Art Paris Art Fair (Paris), Art-O-Rama (Marseille), Paréidolie (Marseille)...
