Marie Deparis-Yafil has been an art critic (member of AICA) and curator for nearly twenty years. She exhibits and collaborates with numerous artists, from the most emerging to the most internationally recognized. She has published texts in nearly eighty books, magazines, exhibition catalogs, monographic works, in France and abroad, and has held more than forty solo or group exhibitions in art centers, museums, and heritage sites in France, but also in Algeria, Tunisia, Senegal (Biennale de Dakar, 2018), the United Kingdom, Greece, and soon in Spain (Biennalsur, 2023). She has regularly collaborated with the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, notably by curating two exhibitions at the Royal Monastery of Brou between 2013 and 2016 (Bourg-en-Bresse, France) and by curating the first contemporary art exhibition in the largest medieval monument in Europe (Château de Vincennes, "Noir Eclair", Zevs, 2016). She also curated the most important monographic exhibition of contemporary art in Algeria ("Gravity3", Sadek Rahim, Musée National d'Art Moderne et Contemporain, Oran, 2019) or the first tribute exhibition to Christian Boltanski ("Les Regards. Les Esprits", Mémorial de la Shoah, 2022). She is currently initiating a program of contemporary art exhibitions at the Shoah Memorial, Paris (Christian Boltanski, October 2022; Adel Abdessemed, April-May 2023, Melik Ohanian, June 2023).
