Julia Marchand is a curator, currently curating the Georgian Pavilion at the 60th edition of La Biennale di Venezia. She is the founder of Extramentale, a curatorial platform aimed at identifying adolescent aesthetics in the field of visual art. Between 2015 and 2023, she worked as a curator at the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles. Her various collaborations have included artists such as Laura Owens, Matthias Garcia, Alexander Kluge, Urs Fischer, Daniel Lie, Natusko Uchino, Henry Darger, Mathis Collins and Vincent van Gogh. She is also a founding member of an experimental video game festival in Arles, and her recent "TVSF" commission by Saradibiza was previously exhibited at the Centre Pompidou Metz.
