Julia Marchand, based between Venice and Paris, is an exhibition curator, currently guest curator of the Prix Rubis Mécénat in partnership with the Beaux-Arts de Paris and co-curator of Crush at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2025. She curated the Georgian Pavilion at the 60th Biennale di Venezia. She is the founder ofExtramentale, a curatorial platform dedicated to exploring adolescent aesthetics in visual art. Between 2015 and 2023, she curated at the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles, collaborating with artists such as Laura Owens, Matthias Garcia, Alexander Kluge, Urs Fischer, Daniel Lie, Natusko Uchino, Henry Darger, Mathis Collins and Vincent van Gogh.
A founding member of an experimental video game festival in Arles, she was also responsible for the recent TVSF commission of Saradibiza, exhibited at the Centre Pompidou Metz.
