Jérémie Lenoir constructs an anthropology of contemporary landscapes while exploring the limits of the photographic medium.
His photographs study in depth and from new angles the mutation of our society.
No retouching in his shots: Jérémie Lenoir shows us objectively the evolution of the same landscape. His photographs capture the ambivalence between reality and imagination, the presence of Man and the still preserved nature.
"When one discovers Jérémie Lenoir's photos, one is struck by the rigour of their composition, and also by their diversity, two rare qualities in such a young photographer. [...] For a long time, this young engineer, who wanted to become a pilot, absorbed as he was by his flight instruments, saw nothing of what was happening below him. And then he entered the Orleans School of Fine Arts. And the pilot's eyes were opened. Since then, 1500 feet above our heads, in the midday light, Jérémie Lenoir has seen what is invisible to us and sometimes even hidden. From up there, in the sky, this astonishing young man captures reality and then restores it to us in its fascinating - and often disturbing - abstraction.
