Sandra Reinflet, winner of the Prix Roger Pic 2020, gives us a sneak preview of the series VoiE.X, artistes sous contraintes, produced in Mauritania, Iran, Papua New Guinea, Madagascar and Brazil, presents portraits of artists who pose the act of creation as an act of resilience and resistance, in countries where living from art is a challenge.
Taken from a wide angle and staged, the images sketch an intimate geography where the subject and its environment are linked.
When she has to decline a profession, Sandra Reinflet claims to be "an inventor of true stories". She uses photography and text to stage reality, starting from the principle that everything is fiction as soon as a frame is chosen. She has published four books, including the series Qui a tué Jacques Prévert ? which was awarded the Bourse du talent photographie in 2013. From Port-Moresby (Papua) to Saint-Denis, she strives, through her artistic activities, to amplify the voice of those who cannot be heard.
