description

Stimulating art in the west of Paris is the first vocation of CARRE SUR SEINE. The LISTEN TO SEE cycle, created more than 10 years ago, raises public awareness of the visual arts and encourages the emergence of new collectors.

Every second Wednesday of the month in Boulogne-Billancourt, an evening of screenings and real encounters with today's artists. An opportunity to present artistic works in an original way, to unravel the secrets of an artist's approach, to question the elements of a work. Don't miss the next meeting which will take place exceptionally on Wednesday 26th February at 7.30pm.

Reserve your place!

Privileged encounters made of artists' confidences, viewing works in the intimacy and magic of a projection room. One or more artists will report on their work, in turn, telling you about their universe, their journey and their approach, every second Wednesday of the month. Questions, debates, autographs and a cocktail reception close the presentation.

All artistic disciplines are addressed, from painting to video, sculpture, installations or photography. A great opportunity for artistic investigation, real moments of sharing and dialogue between artists, collectors and members of CARRÉ SUR SEINE !

The screening is followed by a cocktail to continue the exchanges around the artists.

An artist in the spotlight this Wednesday, February 26, 2020:

  • Amélie Berrodier

Amélie Berrodier's films, photographs and installations touch on a sensitive area, that of private space, family and intimacy. The artist makes portraits as Marguerite Duras has been able to formulate them in words: behind her camera, she looks carefully, while finding a balance between empathy and distance. She takes the necessary time. She analyses language, that of words, that of bodies, but also that of silence and simple presence. More often than not, it all comes down to an exchange of glances. The artist waits for a precise moment, the one during which the person filmed or photographed will stop controlling his appearance, his behaviour, his image. A moment of slight changeover, between control and letting go; a moment of confidence, relaxation and detachment from an abnormal situation.

7:30 pm: Welcome with a cocktail reception
8:00 pm: Screening "Listen and See".
9:30 pm: Meet and Greet with the artists
