Cecile Dufay
Gallery owner
French, English
Specialty: Multidisciplinary
Cécile Dufay founded her first gallery in 2001. Focused on spotlighting young talent on the French scene, she produced nearly 120 first exhibitions. A second gallery followed, championing women artists and multiplying co-creations with the performing arts, fashion, architecture and dance. The turn of the '20s led her to found her eponymous gallery, this time without a partner, and to choose to promote mature artists, whose studios were overflowing with wonders - most often painters, with a particular penchant for the African continent. His editorial line strikes a balance between power and elegance.
She has been an expert for Carré sur Seine for over 10 years, is a member of the board of directors of Pour l'Art Pour l'Afrique and co-founder of the Prix des Chevalets, Prix du Village Suisse Paris.
