Speciality: Design

Eliana Di Modica is the managing director of Maison Matisse, a publishing house for furniture and design objects created in 2019 by the family of painter Henri Matisse.

Founded by the fourth generation of the artist's family to celebrate, transmit and share the boldness and values of a universal artist, Maison Matisse offers a three-dimensional interpretation of Henri Matisse's world celebrating shapes and colours.

To perpetuate this heritage, Maison Matisse invites talented contemporary designers, both emerging and established, to create timeless pieces.

They include designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Jaime Hayon, Cristina Celestino, etc.

Each Maison Matisse collection is inspired by an emblematic work of the artist to create a series of original pieces, produced through a meticulous crafting process.
Shapes, colours, compositions: each piece celebrates the aesthetic language of Henri Matisse, whose vision never ages.

By interpreting the artist's work without copying it and by supporting contemporary creation, Maison Matisse wants to keep a unique and poetic vision alive.

Eliana Di Modica is also a member of the Tokyo Art Club and is passionate about art and culture.
