Art historian, drama critic and exhibition curator, Emmanuel Daydé has also been involved in the organisation of Nuit Blanche in Paris since its creation in 2002.

He has curated, among others, the exhibitions Ousmane Sow on the Pont des Arts (1999), Haïti, anges et démons (2000) at the Halle Saint Pierre, Jardin des délices at the Orangerie du Sénat (2000), Regards persans, Iran, une révolution photographique (2001) at the former Espace Electra (Fondation EDF), or C'est la vie! Vanités de Caravage à Damien Hirst (2010) at the Musée Maillol, Rabelais/Cerredo: Gargantua (2011) at the Villa Audi in Beirut, Zad Moultaka: Come in Terra (2015) at the Palazzo Albrizzi in Venice, and Joël Andrianomearisoa: Iarivo traduit de la nuit at the Galerie RX (2018)

He curated the Lebanon Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2017 and co-curated the Madagascar Pavilion at the 2019 Biennale.

He is the author of several monographs and catalogues, notably on Fabian Cerredo, Anselme Bois-Vives, Youri Norstein, Ousmane Sow, Moustapha Dimé, Aurel Cojean and Etienne Jacobée. He also wrote the preface to Anselm Kiefer's exhibition Die Ungeborenen ('The Unborn') at the Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac - Paris Pantin, in 2012. He also edited the catalogue SamaS - Soleil Noir Soleil for Zad Moultaka, published by Manuella, during the 2017 Venice Biennale and participated in the catalogues for the exhibitions of Andrianomearisoa I have forgotten the night in Venice in 2019, published by Revue Noire, and Brise du Rouge Soleil sur les remparts d'Aigues-Mortes in 2021, published by Editions du Patrimoine.

He writes for the magazines Art Absolument, Connaissance des Arts and Art Press.
