Goodness knows not to lie. Luc Revillon d'Apreval was trained as an antique dealer and expert in 18th century furniture and objets d'art at a very early age; both by taste - the Ecole du Louvre - and by family tradition - he worked for seventeen years with his father, Marc Revillon d'Apreval, who introduced him to the twists and turns of the trade at the eponymous gallery on the quai Voltaire.
He also became an expert in public sales and a member of the C.N.E. (Compagnie Nationale des Experts) from 1997 to 2003.
Strengthened by this experience and having decided with his father to close the gallery at that time, he immediately reoriented his life. He will have the audacity to spot, in the forest of signs that solicit and surround us, the shapes that stand out, the volumes that decide.
Betting on works by young designers, unusual combinations or specific but always noble materials, choosing furniture and art objects of the 21st century that reflect a new balance of forces and draw a new universe, this is now the challenge: that of an alert intuition, pointed towards excellence.
