Marie Gayet is particularly interested in young artists and contemporary practices, regardless of medium. For C-E-A/association , she organized the Public Pool events, focusing on new writing and performance (PP#4 Ecrire l'art and PP#5 Voisinages at the Cité internationale des arts, PP#6 Commun Common at the invitation of Frac Champagne-Ardenne). In 2014 and 2015, she is associated with the Hors les Murs YIA/Marais Culture + program, with proposals at Musée Cognacq Jay, Musée Picasso, Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, BHVP, MEP. She is responsible for the Films d'artistes program at Tous les docs, association for the promotion of art films. Participated in the YIA, Tribew (digital publishing) and DDessin juries. Independent curator, Léo Marin has also directed since 2014 the contemporary section of the Galerie Éric Mouchet in Paris - Saint-Germain-des-Prés. In charge of the young creation programming, he builds a team of French and international artists. Cartography and topography in contemporary art practice and the relationship of artists to insularity are his favorite subjects of research. He holds a master's degree in Art History and Contemporary Art and Sociology. He is an active member of the Associated Curators (C-E-A) and a member of the A.I.C.A. France since 2018 and defends a non-elitist art criticism accessible to all. Editor and art critic, he is one of the co-founders of Éditions Born AndDie with Aurélie Faure and Ivan Dapic. In 2017, he launched the project "Mapping At Last", followed by the second part "The Plausible Island" in 2019. Within this framework, he collaborates with numerous galleries, different public partners and institutions. The creation of the residency The Plausible Island in Vulcano in the Aeolian Islands, Sicily, is born from this continuity. Real research work for this curator On The Run, he intends with this residency to work, develop and disseminate the island and ecological issues, making the island a continent on an individual scale.
